Stock index futures rose on Friday, a day after Wall Street’s sell-off, while investors digested Amazon’s earnings results.
Nasdaq 100 futures (US100:IND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/US100:IND]) gained 0.35%. S&P 500 futures (SPX [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SPX]) rose 0.29%, and Dow futures (INDU [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/INDU]) edged up 0.09%.
Amazon (AMZN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AMZN]) fell 8% in premarket trade after releasing its fourth-quarter earnings report that covered the crucial holiday period.
U.S. Treasury yields moved higher across the curve. The 10-year Treasury yield (US10Y [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/US10Y]) rose 2 basis points to 4.20%, and the 30-year Treasury yield (US30Y [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/US30Y]) climbed 1.4 basis points to 4.86%. The shorter-end 2-year Treasury yield (US2Y [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/US2Y]) increased 2.6 basis points to 3.49%.
Top gainers in premarket trading included Gen Digital (GEN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GEN]) +10.97%, FactSet Research Systems (FDS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FDS]) +5.17%, and Coinbase Global (COIN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/COIN]) +4.28%. Decliners included Molina Healthcare (MOH [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MOH]) -33.10%, Centene (CNC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CNC]) -10.12%, and Amazon (AMZN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AMZN]) -8.57%.
