Meta (NASDAQ:META) is testing another idea to see where AI powered content might really stick, this time with a standalone app built entirely around AI generated video.

The app, called Vibes, is designed to feel familiar if you've spent any time on short form video platforms like TikTok. The big difference is that users aren't filming themselves. Every video is created or remixed using AI tools. Vibes first showed up last year inside the Meta AI app, where people could tweak existing videos and share them with friends. Meta says the response there was strong enough to justify giving it its own home.

By pulling Vibes into a separate app, Meta is trying to create a more focused space for people who want to play with AI video without the clutter of a broader social feed. It also gives Meta a low risk way to test how far AI only content can go on its own.
