The agreement outlines Meta's plans to deploy up to six gigawatts of AMD-based AI computing capacity, with spending expected to reach double-digit billions of dollars per gigawatt. The collaboration expands an existing partnership and aligns hardware and software development to support Meta's next generation of artificial intelligence workloads.

As part of the arrangement, AMD granted Meta performance-based warrants covering up to 160 million shares, tied to shipment milestones for Instinct graphics processing units used in large-scale AI systems.

AMD shares surged more than 7% following the disclosure, while Meta edged about 1% lower. Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), which also maintains AI infrastructure ties with Meta, slipped slightly in morning trading.
